Book of Ra is the Egyptian adventure slot from the Austrian maker Novomatic, whose online games are published by Greentube. The first game came out in 2005. Book of Ra Deluxe followed in 2008 with a tenth payline and sharper graphics, and it became the best-known version.

How Book of Ra Works
Book of Ra Deluxe has 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines. A payline is a path across the reels, and you win when matching symbols land along it starting from the left reel. The explorer is the top symbol, and five of him on a line pay 500 times your total bet.
The Book of Ra symbol does two jobs. It is the wild, so it can replace any other symbol to complete a line. It is also the scatter, which means it counts wherever it lands. Three, four or five books pay 2, 20 or 200 times your bet and start the free games.
After any win you can use the gamble feature. You guess the color of a face-down card. A right guess doubles the win and a wrong guess loses it. The gamble is optional and is switched off during autoplay. The game is rated high volatility, which means long quiet spells are normal.

Special expanding symbol
