Solar Disc is an IGT slot with an Aztec sun theme and a wider screen than most games, with six reels instead of the usual five. Its main idea is simple. When the golden sun disc lands, it picks one of the regular symbols and turns every copy of that symbol on the screen into a wild.
The demo on this page is the standard online version of the game, dressed in Aztec masks, carved stone and gold. You can spin it for free with play-money credits to see how the disc works and how often the free spins show up before you ever try it anywhere else.

How Solar Disc Works
The game has 6 reels with 4 symbols on each, and 26 paylines that are always active. A payline is a set path across the reels, and you win when matching symbols line up along one, starting from the left reel. Because the lines are fixed, the only choice you make is the size of your total bet, which runs from 0.50 to 500 credits per spin.
The better-paying symbols are a jaguar and a bear, followed by cups, masks and carved stone pieces. There is a regular wild in a gold frame, which stands in for the other paying symbols. It cannot replace the Solar Disc or the Bonus symbol, which each have their own job in the game.
The Solar Disc is the symbol to watch. Each time one lands, it reveals one of the regular symbols, and every matching symbol in view becomes wild for that spin. If more than one disc lands, more than one kind of symbol can turn wild at the same time, which is how the larger wins on this game usually come about.
Solar Disc Bonus Features
Solar Disc feature
When a Solar Disc lands, it reveals one regular symbol. Every copy of that symbol on the reels then turns wild for the spin. Two or more discs on the same spin can turn several different symbols wild together.
Free Spins Bonus
Land the Bonus symbol together with a Solar Disc on the same spin to win 10 free spins. At least one Solar Disc is guaranteed on every free spin, so some symbol turns wild each time. The round cannot be retriggered.
Wild symbol
The gold-framed wild substitutes for all regular paying symbols to help complete a line. It does not replace the Solar Disc or the Bonus symbol, and it works alongside any symbols the disc has turned wild.
Good to Know Before You Play
- RTP is the share of all bets a slot pays back over time. Solar Disc is listed at either 94.04% or 96.01%, because casinos can choose between settings.
- Volatility describes how often and how big a game pays. This one is rated medium, so expect a mix of small line wins and the occasional larger hit from the disc.
- The free spins are a fixed set of 10. You cannot win more spins during the round, so the bonus is always the same length.
- All 26 lines are always on. Changing your bet changes the value of every line at once.

Solar Disc FAQ
Can I play Solar Disc for free?
Yes. The demo on this page runs on play-money credits, with no download and no sign-up. You can spin for as long as you like. The credits have no cash value and cannot be cashed out.
What is the RTP of Solar Disc?
Solar Disc is published with two RTP figures, 94.04% and 96.01%, depending on the setting a casino chooses. RTP is the long-run share of all bets that the game pays back, so it does not tell you what will happen in a short session.
How do you trigger the bonus in Solar Disc?
You need the Bonus symbol and a Solar Disc on the reels in the same spin. That awards 10 free spins. During the round a Solar Disc is guaranteed on every spin, and the round cannot be retriggered.
What does the Solar Disc symbol do?
The disc picks one regular symbol and turns every copy of it on the screen into a wild for that spin. If several discs land together, several symbols can turn wild at once, which can fill many of the 26 lines.
