Thunder Cash is a slot from Ainsworth with a classic casino look. The reels sit in front of a casino floor scene, and the symbols are dice, diamonds, red sevens and playing cards. The demo on this page is the original Thunder Cash. It is free to play on play-money credits, with no download and no sign-up.
It is a plain, traditional game. There are five reels, 20 paylines, a wild, a scatter and one free games round. The scatter is the Thunder Cash logo, and three of them award eight free games. A newer version, Thunder Cash Dollar King, can also be played from this page if you want to compare the two.

How Thunder Cash Works
Thunder Cash has 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 paylines. A payline is a path across the reels, and matching symbols on it from the left pay a prize. The lowest bet covering all lines is 0.20 credits per spin. The listed top bet is 2,000 credits, which is far higher than most online slots allow.
The wild is a poker chip marked with a lightning bolt. It stands in for other symbols to complete a win. The scatter is the Thunder Cash logo, and it pays from any position. Three to five scatters pay a prize on top of triggering the bonus. Among the regular symbols, the red 7 pays the most, followed by the blue diamond and then the dice. Card symbols pay the least.
The RTP, the share of all bets a slot pays back over time, is 94.07%, which is below the average for online slots. Volatility, meaning how often and how big a game pays, is medium. Five scatters pay the biggest single prize in the paytable, listed at about 100 times the total bet.
Thunder Cash Bonus Features
Free Games
Three or more Thunder Cash logo scatters anywhere on the reels award 8 free games. Three more scatters during the round add 5 extra games. Scatter prizes are paid in the free games as well as in the base game.
Scatter pays
The logo pays wherever it lands, with no payline needed. Three, four or five logos pay prizes that rise to about 100 times the total bet for five.
Wild symbol
The lightning bolt poker chip substitutes for regular symbols to help complete line wins. The paytable in the demo shows which reels it appears on and whether it can replace the scatter.
More Thunder Cash Versions to Play Free
Thunder Cash Dollar King is a 2023 release in the same series. It also uses 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 paylines, but its published RTP is higher at 96.25%. One review calls it a fairly simple money machine. If the original feels dated, Dollar King is the newer take on the same idea.
Good to Know Before You Play
- The RTP of 94.07% is lower than most online slots, which usually sit near 96%.
- There is one bonus round only. Outside the free games, wins come from the 20 paylines and from scatter pays.
- Bets go as high as 2,000 credits per spin. Check the bet size before you spin so one click does not use up your demo balance.
- Sources give different release dates for this game, 2016 and 2017. The rules described here are the same either way.

Thunder Cash FAQ
Can I play Thunder Cash for free?
Yes. The demo on this page runs on play-money credits. There is nothing to download and no sign-up. The credits have no cash value and cannot be cashed out, so you can try the game and its features without spending anything.
What is the RTP of Thunder Cash?
Thunder Cash has a published RTP of 94.07%. That is below the usual figure for online slots. RTP is the share of all bets a slot pays back over a very long run of spins, not a prediction for one session.
How do you trigger the bonus in Thunder Cash?
Land three or more Thunder Cash logo scatters anywhere on the reels in one spin. That awards 8 free games. Three more scatters during the round add 5 more games. The scatters also pay a prize of their own.
How many paylines does Thunder Cash have?
Thunder Cash has 20 paylines on 5 reels and 3 rows. Line wins run from the left. The scatter symbol is the exception, since it pays wherever it lands on the screen without needing a payline.
