Hot Shot is a long-running family of Bally slot machines, known for the small slot games that spin inside the main game. The demo on this page is HotShot TwinFire, an online slot Light & Wonder released in 2024. It is a newer game, not a copy of the Hot Shot Progressive cabinet many players remember.
According to the maker, TwinFire combines two casino floor ideas in one 5-reel, 25-payline game. One is the Quick Hit pay, and the other is the Hot Shot bonus with its Blazing 7s mini slots. The look is classic Las Vegas, with flaming sevens. You can play it free here.

How Hot Shot Works
The main game is a 5 by 3 grid with 25 paylines. A payline is a fixed path across the reels, and matching symbols on one, counted from the left, make a win. Sources list bets from 0.20 to 30 credits per spin. The symbols are the kind you find on older reel machines, with sevens in the lead.
Besides the line symbols, special symbols carry the game’s two borrowed ideas. Quick Hit symbols pay by how many are on screen at once, wherever they land. Hot Shot symbols are tied to the mini games. The maker says there are five of these mini games, each one a small 3-reel slot with its own prizes.
The top RTP setting is 96%. RTP is the share of all bets a slot returns over time, and the maker also supplies 94% and 90% versions to casinos. The volatility, meaning how often and how big the game pays, has not been published. Review sites report a top prize of 5,000 times the bet.
Hot Shot Bonus Features
Quick Hit Feature
Taken from the Quick Hit casino games. Quick Hit symbols are counted across the whole screen instead of on paylines, and the prize grows with the number in view. The pay table in the demo shows the exact amounts for each count.
Hot Shot Feature
The classic Hot Shot bonus. Special symbols on the main reels open mini slot games that spin on their own and award their own prizes. The maker lists five mini games in this version.
Blazing 7’s Mini Games
Each mini game is a classic 3-reel slot in the Blazing 7s style, with its own set of rewards. They play out automatically once triggered, and whatever they pay is added to your win for that spin.
Jackpot Tower Bonus
The fourth feature named by the maker. Published sources do not explain how it triggers or what it pays, so open the help screen inside the demo to read the rules before you play.
Good to Know Before You Play
- This is not the Hot Shot Progressive machine from the casino floor. It borrows the mini-game idea and adds Quick Hit pays.
- Published details on the exact trigger rules are thin. The help pages inside the demo are the best place to see them.
- Casinos can run this game at 96%, 94% or 90% RTP. Free demos normally use the highest setting, but that is not guaranteed.
- The top prize is reported as 5,000 times the bet by review sites. The maker has not published a figure.
