Sizzling Hot Deluxe is a fruit machine from Novomatic, the Austrian company behind Book of Ra, and its online arm Greentube. It is the updated edition of Sizzling Hot, a game long found on Novomatic cabinets in European casinos and arcades. The Deluxe version is the one that plays on this page.
This is about as simple as a video slot gets. There are five reels, five paylines, a handful of fruit symbols, and a red 7. There are no wilds, no free spins, and no bonus game. If you like the old one-armed bandits but want five reels, this is that kind of game.

How Sizzling Hot Works
The game has five reels, three rows, and five fixed paylines. Wins are paid for matching symbols along a line. The symbols are a classic fruit set, with the flaming red 7 at the top of the pay table. Three 7s on a line pay 20 times your total bet, four pay 200 times, and five pay 1,000 times, which is the biggest win in the game.
The gold star is the only special symbol. It is a scatter, which means it pays wherever it lands and does not need to be on a line. Three stars pay 2 times your total bet, four pay 10 times, and five pay 50 times. After any win you can use the gamble feature, where you pick red or black to try to double the prize.
The standard RTP is 95.66%. RTP, or return to player, is the share of all bets a slot pays back over a very long time. Lower settings of 92.28% and 90.02% also exist. Volatility, which describes how often and how big a slot pays, is rated around medium. One source puts the hit rate at 13%, or roughly one winning spin in eight.
Sizzling Hot Bonus Features
Red 7s
The red 7 is the top symbol. Five on a payline pay 1,000 times your total bet, which is the game’s maximum win. Four pay 200 times and three pay 20 times.
Star scatter
The gold star pays in any position and does not have to sit on a payline. Three, four, or five stars on the screen pay 2, 10, or 50 times your total bet.
Gamble
After a win you can guess whether the next card is red or black. A right guess doubles the win and a wrong guess loses it. You can skip the gamble and keep the win.

Sizzling Hot Quattro plays four five-reel sets at once, each with five lines, for 20 lines in total and a listed RTP of 95.36%. Sizzling Hot 6 Extra Gold lets you place an Extra Bet that switches on a sixth reel, so six-of-a-kind wins become possible. Sizzling Hot Deluxe 10 Win Ways drops paylines for a ways-to-win system and is listed at around 95% RTP. All three keep the plain fruit machine style.
Good to Know Before You Play
- There are no wilds, free spins, or bonus rounds. What you see in the first few spins is the whole game.
- With only five paylines, many spins pay nothing. One source lists a hit rate of about 13%, or one win in roughly eight spins.
- Bet limits vary a lot between listings, so we have not published a range. The demo shows the stakes it offers.
- The gamble feature is optional. A wrong guess loses the whole win from that spin, so you can always just collect.
