Da Vinci Diamonds is an IGT slot that pairs cut gems with famous Leonardo da Vinci portraits. It started as a casino machine and came online in 2012. The demo on this page is that original game, with 5 reels and 20 paylines, and it is free to play on play-money credits.
It is best known for Tumbling Reels. Instead of spinning, symbols drop into place. When you win, the winning symbols vanish and new ones fall in, which can make another win from the same paid spin. The free spins bonus starts with just 6 spins but can keep adding more.

How Da Vinci Diamonds Works
The game uses 5 reels and 3 rows with 20 paylines. A payline is a fixed path across the reels, and wins pay from left to right starting at reel 1. With all lines active, bets start at 0.20 credits. The highest bet is 200 or more, depending on the casino.
The symbols are gems for the smaller prizes and portraits for the larger ones. The Da Vinci Diamonds logo pays the most: five on a line pay 5,000 times the line bet. A pink gem marked Wild is the wild symbol and replaces the regular symbols. The Bonus symbol triggers free spins and cannot be replaced by the wild.
The RTP is 94.94%, which is a little under the usual figure for online slots. RTP is the share of all bets paid back over a very long time. Volatility is rated low to medium. Tumbles produce a steady flow of small wins, and big results are less common than on a high-volatility game.
Da Vinci Diamonds Bonus Features
Tumbling Reels
After any win, the winning symbols disappear. The symbols above drop down and new ones fall from the top to fill the grid. If this creates another win, it is paid and the tumble repeats, all on the same bet.
Free Spins Bonus
Three Bonus symbols in one spin start the round with 6 free spins. Tumbling Reels stay active throughout, and the bonus is played at the bet and lines of the spin that triggered it.
Extra Free Spins
During the bonus, three Bonus symbols add 2, 3 or 4 spins. Four add between 4 and 10, and five add between 6 and 15. The round can go on collecting spins until it reaches a limit of 300.
More Da Vinci Diamonds Versions to Play Free
Da Vinci Diamonds Dual Play doubles the game to 40 paylines on a taller screen with 6 rows. Masterworks adds giant 2 by 2 portraits that carry 2x to 4x multipliers, plus a free spins round where you pick one of several features. Fort Knox Da Vinci Diamonds adds IGT’s Fort Knox jackpot bonus, and the MegaJackpots version is tied to a progressive jackpot. Wild Bonanza is another take on the theme, with its own rules and pay table.
Good to Know Before You Play
- One paid spin can produce several wins in a row through tumbles. You pay only for the first drop of symbols.
- The bonus starts small, with only 6 spins. How long it lasts depends on extra Bonus symbols landing during the round.
- The top prize is quoted against the line bet. Measured against a full 20-line bet, 5,000 times the line bet equals 250 times the total bet.
- Sources differ slightly on the trigger. Most say three Bonus symbols are needed; check the pay table in the demo.
